2A April Highlights:
Religion:
All people are called to serve God, what it means to be a member of the church, the roles of the bishops, and the Pope.
Math:
Explore plane figures, sorting figures, congruent figures, lines of symmetry, slide, flips, turns and introducing 3 digit addition
Phonics:
prefixes, suffixes, rules of silent "e", closed syllables with exceptions, syllable types, homophones, antonyms, synonyms
Reading/Language Arts:
Folktales, Informational texts, realistic fiction/procedural text authors purpose, compare and contrast stories, Irregular verbs, dipthongs, singular subjects, plural subjects, past, present and future tense, adjectives, vowel teams
Handwriting:
We have finished learning all of our lower case letters in cursive. We are writing our spelling words in cursive, and our names we will begin learning to write our upper case letters in cursive and begin writing sentences in cursive.
Science:
Earth and space, what are some ways the Earth moves, sun, moon, phases of the moon, solar system, what causes day and night, seasons to change, what we can see in the night sky
