June News
We are approaching the end of the school year with excitement and a little nervousness. The students have quickly realized this is their last few weeks at Lower Campus. Change is fun, and I know they are ready. They are leaving our campus as role models and are prepared for middle school.
In Theology, our last chapter covers the beginning of the Church and relates heavily to the Creed. Our year closes in the same way we began it, with a 5th grade only retreat. Father David will help us end our time together with adoration and prayerful mediatation. Then we will walk over as a group to upper campus and say our goodbyes with our Convocation.
In Literature, we have finished reading and watching My Side of the Mountain. Our closing assignment is to compare and contrast the book with the movie. We all agree that the book is better!
5th and 4th grade math are both studying the coordinate plane, algebra, and integers. IXL is Grade 5 LL and Grade 6 Y, Z, AA.
The summer slide is a real thing. Please consider using IXL over the summer to keep your math skills sharp. READ, it is so important in all of your subjects. Happy Summer!
