Welcome to the Technology Lab
At St. Christopher, we have Mac computers, color printers, a 3D printer, iPADs, programmable robots, a green screen, and so many more tools available to introduce technology to our students! It's so much fun to watch the students learn about these technologies, and get creative in their use! Students learn to use technology as a tool to support learning and learn coding concepts to prepare them for the future.
Our computer lab is furnished with Mac PCs, but this year the computer classes will be held in the students' classrooms using ipads.
After working in the high-tech industry for many years, I decided to share my love with technology with children. I have a masters degree in Computer Science from Dartmouth College and am certified by the NH Department of Education to teach technology. In the summer, I like to spend time with my family at our lake cottage - hiking, swimming, and kayaking. I am also an avid traveler. Having visited all 50 states, I am now working my way through the European continent!
November - December - January (Q2)
All classes will participate in the "International Hour of Code" week in December. That kicks off the unit of coding for 5th and 6th graders for the following semester. Third through sixth graders will be learning the ins and outs of google classrooms - including how to turn in assignments and getting familiar with using DOCS. First and second graders will be introduced to IXL and Spelling City, as well as an art program on the ipads.
