October 2023

September was such a wonderful month in 1T!  We have learned so much: how to master sight words, number ordering, ordinal numbers, realistic fiction, and nonfiction.  Next month will bring some amazing topics.  Reading will be reading nonfiction texts, we will conclude unit one with our first project and begin unit 2.  Writing we will learn to write procedural texts (directions) and we will publish our first pieces.  Math will jump into addition to 12: double facts and facts that make 10.  Theology will focus on learning more about Jesus.  We will have a fun Halloween surprise planned at the end of the month that will combine writing and our science unit of light and sound!
