Religion: We discuss the Liturgical year and Ordinary time. We are also learning about the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Students will be introduced to the Jesse Tree project.
5th Grade Social Studies- November is an exciting month for Social Studies. Students will listen to the platforms of seven candidates for New Hampshire’s Kid Governor and vote. Students will also analyze pictures and take a virtual field trip to Plimouth Plantation to learn about colonial life.
Fifth graders will conclude the Native People unit by completing a project about an assigned tribe, demonstrating their knowledge.
4th Grade Social Studies: 4th-grade students will study the U.S. Southeast. We will discuss the Southeast’s climate, culture, resources, and landforms. Students will study the states and capitals of the Southeast and wrap up the unit by creating a paper quilt about their assigned Southeastern state.
Reading: As a class, we are conducting a novel study of Stone Fox by John Reynolds Gardiner. The novel study helps us build our vocabulary and comprehension skills. It also leads to interesting discussions. We are practicing spelling words with the -le, -tion, and -sion endings.
