1R September Newsletter

Hello 1R Families! Welcome to our first full month of school! We have now started some of our curriculum. In Fundations, we have started a review of our abc's. We have been going over our letter names, the words associated with the letters, and the sound each letter makes. For example: a apple /ă/, b bat /b/, c cat /k/, etc. In Math, we have started a review of our 123's. We have been practicing writing not only the numbers but also the numbers written out as words. For example: 1 one, 2 two, 3 three, etc. We have also started our Religion program. Students are learning what creation and the Bible are. We have started having homework each night and taking tests at the ends of the chapters for the subjects (usually on Fridays). Specials are now a part of our daily schedules as well.
This poster is hung up in our classroom. It is important that these rules are followed every day by every student. It would be appreciated if you could reinforce what the rules of school are at home. Thank you in advance!
