1R December Newsletter

Happy December!

 

Here are some updates for this month: In Fundations, we will be moving onto Unit 7. In this unit we will learn the glued sounds ang, ing, ong, ung, ank, ink, onk, and unk. We will also learn the suffixes ng and nk. The trick words we will learn are why, put, by, two, my, too, try, very, also, come, and some. In MyView, we have one week left of our I Spy unit before moving onto our Imagine That unit where we will learn the trick words good, said, could, why, live, work, there, now, grow, around, round, no, put, be, old, of, or, who, out, down, drink, together, full, find, and under. In Math we are working on subtraction and in Religion our virtue of the month is charity.

 

Here is a list of trick words to practice at home. If possible it would be great to make notecards and practice each night before bed. There is some overlap between Fundations and MyView but I will send the lists for both.

At home, please also read with your child and have them write whenever they can. Thank you!
