Welcome to Kindergarten!

Welcome to Kindergarten! My name is Tamara Oetjens, and I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this year. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction, with a focus on improving reading skills.

I love teaching Kindergarten and feel very fortunate to be a part of such a special year in your child’s life. My goal is to create a positive and nurturing classroom where each child feels happy, safe, and excited to learn. We will work hard, learn many new things, build friendships, and have lots of fun along the way!

I believe every child is unique and will strive to help each child grow academically, emotionally, and in their faith throughout the year. I look forward to working together with you to make this a wonderful Kindergarten experience for your child.

I live in Hollis with my husband and have four amazing children! I enjoy reading, taking walks, and spending time in the White Mountains and Chicago with my family.
