This month we are looking forward to learning the following:
Religion: Advent a time for preparing for the birth of Jesus and Christmas the birth of Jesus
Math: Math Olympics, circle graphs, line plots, venn diagrams, word problems
Reading: We will make predictions using text features, learn about what a glossary and an index is, review synonyms, discuss the features of an informational text, and continue to work on our reading skills by fluency, comprehension and accuracy
Phonics: We will learn three ways long a is spelled ai, ay, ea, r-controlled vowels, y-as long -e, syllables with "y", and I will introduce our new syllable type -le
English: compound words, nouns, verbs, verbs past and present tense
Writing: We are continuing to build on and strengthen our writing formation of letters getting ready to learn cursive writing in January.
