Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and vacation. This month we will be working on the following:
Religion: We will be discussing how We Follow God's Laws, We Prepare for the Sacrament of Forgiveness, and We Celebrate the Sacrament of Forgiveness. We will also learn the Act of Contrition.
Math: We will be working on adding 2-digit numbers without and with regrouping, estimating, and adding three addends.
Reading: We will read a realistic fiction story about how an apple tree changes during the seasons.
Phonics: We will learn about the vowel digraph ie that can have either the long i sound or the long e sound.
Grammar: We will learn about common and proper nouns.
Writing: We will start the month working on an acrostic poem about snowflakes.
Science: We will be learning about space.
We will also start cursive this month. The students will be excited!
