January 2024

Welcome Back to school!  January will be a productive month for 1T.  In reading we will begin to dig deeper in the genre types such as fables, folk tales, poetry, and persuasive texts.  In writing we work on expanding our writing and work on improving our writing through the writing process. Math will be a short pause to learn about graphs before continuing our journey into addition and subtraction.  PRACTICE THOSE FACTS! Religion will be learning about the community of the church and the sacraments.  Finally, January will be a Social Studies month, we will be learning about our community, continents and oceans.  We will also see where Flat Stanley travels.  I look forward to seeing all the skills mastered by the end of the month.
