November News

November already? Time is sure flying by in 4G! Our days are full of learning and fun!

Religion: Our focus is on our conscience as our guide. We will discuss how we examine our conscience by thinking about the ways we have loved God and others. This will take us into the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation. Some key terms covered are forgiveness, repent, reconciled, penitent, absolution, and confession. We will talk more about The Act of Contrition and its meaning, as well as The Ten Commandments.

Reading: Our My View readings will focus on Informational Texts and Biographies and different animal stories. We will learn about summarizing, main idea and details, and dictionary skills. Graphic organizers and outlining will be introduced, and we are turning these notes into stories. Our book report will be due November 18th.

English: 4th graders will concentrate on Nouns. We will learn all of the types of nouns.
5th graders will continue with pronouns. We will learn how to use first, second and third person pronouns correctly.

Happy Thanksgiving! There is so much to be thankful for!
