ELA- We continue our ELA and phonics routines. The students are learning more sight words. Students are practicing hearing the beginning, middle, and end sounds. They started writing in their weekend news journals. It is exciting to watch the students transform into readers. We are reading stories about autumn, veterans, and Thanksgiving. When reading, we review story elements such as problem and character.

Math- Students are identifying and creating patterns. Students practice daily counting by ones, twos, and tens.

Science- Students observed our class tree, discussed the seasons, and recorded changes.   As a class, we also talked about the life cycle of a pumpkin.

Social Studies- We continue to talk about good character. This month, we have focused on being trustworthy. In class, we are learning about the pilgrims and native americans, as well as traditions.

Religion- Kindergarteners continue to practice our prayers with a focus on Hail Mary, Our Father, and Glory Be. Students learned about the Sacrament of Baptism. We discussed the world that God created and how we are thankful.
