April News

We are in the final quarter of our time here at the Lower Campus.  We need to work hard during this final stretch!

We have an excellent Vocation Day coming up.  Our speakers will be from all over the diocese. The students usually ask them the best questions, and we have a fabulous day.

In Theology, we continue our study of the sacraments.  We are up to the anointing of the sick.

In Reading, we have been working on poetry for the Poetry Slam later in the month.  Our literature series has taken us from historical fiction to informational text. The students are doing a fantastic job at their close reads.

Our spelling lists for April are 12 and 24. Nightly assignments are given and students are expected to complete the work by the next day.

For 5th grade math, we are finishing up our first geometry unit.  We are finishing the unit with a Tessellation Project.  IXL for the chapter is PP to TT.

Grade 4 is working hard at understanding decimals. IXL sections are X, Y and Z. One half hour of IXL is due every Friday.  Extra math is every Friday at 8 AM.

Our Accelerated Math students are busy studying integers and algebraic equations.  We are working on isolating our variables by using inverses.  WE LOVE MATH!
